Time for Grandkids

Just thought I'd post a few recent pics of the new grandson with my youngest granddaughter.
Although Brady adores his cousin Melody, he refuses to smile for the camera.  No matter how funny something is, when the camera comes out, the expression goes serious!  Mommy said he got that from Daddy; he hates the camera, too.

Brady had fun squirming around on Melody's lap.  Good thing it's a big chair.  She's only three years older, so he's a lap-full for her.

Just like big people, it melted her heart when he smiled at her.

This is my favorite shot:

Seems they both really love to watch Dora!

...and each other.

I simply must brag on the intelligence of Melody's older sister Grace.  Gracie is five and just finishing kindergarten.  I was trying to trick her last week, but couldn't because she's so smart!  She told me that she's not really smart.  I said, "Yes, you are very smart.  I bet you know the capital of Mars."  She asked, "Is capital the big or the little letter?"  I said, "The big ones."  "Oh, then 'M'."  Now, is that genius or what?

adorable indeed! :o)

funny... my little niece in Mallorca also loves watching Dora! My cousins put it on in English for her (they're trying to get an early start on the language issue, she regularly hears 2 languages -Spanish and Catalan- spoken to her, and some English with these cartoons). Although maybe it's my cousin who's fixated with Dora... she loves the backpack song! :p

Well, I saw most of these already on your Facebook page, and of course the smart Grace story on there too! But I also just love the picture of them sitting in front of the TV.

Absolutely precious photos! Melody is a beauty and has the sweetest smile. Brady is just being a boy -- must keep straight face to appear macho. :D

These two little grand-daughters are adorable!!

I hope you're getting much done on your book - and having a good Sunday.

p.s. I just called them both granddaughters. Hope Brady will forgive me!!

This generation is truly genius. My two year old grandson said his toy was "annoying" when it kept saying the same thing over and over. Annoying? Really? How old are you? He knows all of his colors, counts to ten, and speaks in complete sentences.

You are not imagining this. I read that each generation is about 3 points smarter according to IQ tests.

Cuteness abounds on the farm!

My nephew is home on leave from Iraq for a couple of weeks. If you remember, his son was born just before his deployment. He's been posting pictures and videos on his Facebook page that are melting my heart.

Aw, how cute are these photos. Melody is precious and has the most beautiful smile. Too bad it isn't contagious or Brady would be smiling too. He is cute as a button smile or not.

You slipped in while I was packing for our trip and I missed this post.

Hope you have a great weekend,
Judy

Ok, that is pretty darn cute. And the photos?? So sweet they make my teeth hurt. Lily, is there anything better than grandbabies? I think not.

My, my, my... they are so sweet. They remind me of an old song:

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know...
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world!
